Alumasc, the premium building and engineering products company, announces the sale of its property, previously occupied by two former subsidiaries, at Cartbridge Lane, Walsall for £2.3 million after costs – a surplus over book value of £0.9 million.

This was the larger of two vacant properties held for sale in Alumasc’s mid-year accounts at 31 December 2006, with a combined book value of £2.4 million. The second property, at Middlemore Industrial Estate, Handsworth, Birmingham, vacated following the closure of Copal in 2006, is currently being marketed.
